After the Los Angeles Lakers were swept by the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James expressed interest in retiring. I have a lot to consider,

LeBron James has fueled rumors that he may eventually be hanging up his sneakers after 20 amazing seasons in the NBA.
Following a disheartening 113-111 loss in Game 4, the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the Western Conference Finals by Nikola Joki and the Denver Nuggets.
“We’ll wait and see what happens next. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer told reporters after the game, “I don’t know. To be honest, I have a lot on my mind.
I have a lot to think about as far as basketball is concerned, just for me personally.
After the press conference, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, he followed up with James to get more clarification on his remarks and learn whether or not he was considering retiring.
What line should we be pushing when you claim you have to think about things? If I want to continue playing, James reportedly responded when McMenamin questioned him.
When prompted further about leaving the team the following year, James reportedly added that he’d have to think about it, according to McMenamin. After signing a two-year contract extension with the Lakers prior to the season, the top player’s deal with the franchise has one year remaining.

LeBron and company were hoping to make history in the win-or-go-home game by overturning a 3-0 series deficit to reach the NBA Finals. Mission impossible nearly got off to the ideal start, but James’ attempts to force overtime were thwarted by the Nuggets, who stood tall in crunch time.’King James’ was guarded by Nuggets wing Aaron Gordon and had two chances to win the game. The first attempt was a challenging shot that was far off target and bounced against the glass. Then, with 1.1 seconds left, Gordon rejected a James floater, thereby ending the game and the season.

James remarked, “My final year will be spent with my son. “I’ll be in Bronny’s vicinity wherever he is. I would go to any lengths to spend a year playing with my son. At that moment, it is not about the money.
James’ Game 4 performance showed the 20-year veteran could easily continue his excellent career, to play alongside Bronny, if he so desired, despite the loss and his postgame remarks.
LeBron, 38, gave a complete effort by playing the whole 48 minutes, scoring 40 points on 15-of-25 shooting, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out nine assists.

However, as he has done so many times over his lengthy career, LeBron’s individual brilliance was insufficient, and the Nuggets were able to make their first-ever NBA Finals appearance without losing a game.

Joki, who has won the MVP title twice during the regular season, had another outstanding series for Denver and was given the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP award.

The “Joker” had a triple-double in Game 4 with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists. The latest in a string of triple-doubles also meant that Joki, who added his eighth postseason triple-double, eclipsed Wilt Chamberlain’s 1967 mark for the most triple-doubles in a playoff run.
“I believe he is demonstrating his sincerity to others around the country. As though what he is doing is genuine. The MVPs really exist. Michael Malone, the head coach of the Nuggets, said of his best player, “The triple-doubles are legitimate. Give him his due recognition; he’s a superb player. Put an end to hacking him off at the knees. Give him the respect he merits because he is a superb player.

As they await the outcome of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, the Nuggets can now look forward to the NBA Finals.
